I got my new computer!!! and results are really impressive; this render took just 5 minutes! hope you like it ;)

I would appreciate if you send a critique about speeding up my render time. It's enough for me but maybe I can do it better,so just write here below :)

very thanks for SMC.com... I appreciate their work :)

Req's! Share your reqs too if you talk about a new mashine! ^^ AAAannyway, man I sure could use a rendermashine, too, my Hexagon 3,4 Ghz Intel i7 with 16GB Ram is surpsiringly slow these last projects :S I'm not imagining it, I need a new rig, dont' I?

I have nearly same system(i7-2770-3.4ghz with 16 gb 1600mhz ram, accelerated with radeon hd 7870)... Why are you saying to your system "it is slow"? As you see this is a HD image(1080p) and as I said it took just around 5 minutes. So, you don't need it ;)

dunno, I had this camera render two days ago, and it feeled unnaturally slow, maybe it was because of the extensive use of shaders...

it depens on many of the dozens of your program features,in here I'm using 3ds max 2012 with mental ray. which program do you use?

I generally use Autodesk Maya 2012, in this case with Maya Software as rendering engine, but I had like 13-14 shaders, because it was a fast work and I didn't want to paint textures and go into to much modelling detail, here what I'm talkin' about: [link].
I don't know, maybe I messed too much with certain settings, I had like 10-12 light sources all with raytrace enabled. But I don't know, I kinda thought it was faster...

I barely see there's 4-5 lights on yor scene and some kind of environment. In maya, this is definitely unnecessary. You just have to use a nice HDR image environment,or,use 2 area lights(one to left, other to the opposite),place a giant black or grey sphere to make your background dark(it creates contrast between env and lights and this generates much better reflections ).Also you have to change your lens material. Give it a try...;)

Thanks for the advice, I definitely need more training on optimal render and shader setttings :D, I'll try the settings you suggest out, thanks again.
